Welcome to Quality Life Academy

Your Child Deserves More Than a One-Size-Fits-All Education

Most traditional schools expect students to learn the same way, at the same pace, with the same rewards. But every child is unique — and far too many feel unseen, unmotivated, and disconnected from their learning.

Quality Life Academy (QLA), a program of Quality Life Center, provides a year-round K–12 private school, afterschool program, and summer camp experience that combines academic excellence, leadership development, and arts education to nurture confident, compassionate, and creative young leaders.

Who We Are

A School Where Students Discover WHO They Are, WHY They Matter, and HOW They Can Serve

At QLA, we believe every learner has genius within them.

We see our students as jewels — each with unique gifts to discover and meaningful roles to play in the world. Education here is not just academic; it’s personalized, powerful, and purpose-driven.

We are committed to being a school that students love to attend, where they feel empowered, understood, and engaged every day.

Learning That Works

Does the Quality of Life Model Work?

We believe in its potential. While we are still in the early stages of implementation, the academic model we are adopting has a strong track record of success. Students in similar programs have achieved top national percentiles in MAP testing across core subjects such as math, reading, science, and language usage.

Our approach emphasizes daily coaching and personalized learning dashboards to support student growth, time management, and subject mastery.

“There is genius in every learner. Our job is to help them discover it and put it to work.”

We are building the conditions for this discovery to take root and flourish.

A Nationally Recognized Civic Engagement Moonshot

Quality Life Academy proudly integrates the Youth-Led Community Solutions initiative—a national youth empowerment movement with its origin rooted in East Harlem and inspired by the Youth Action Program organizing model.

Through Youth-Led Community Solutions, our students:

  • Design and implement real-world community solutions
  • Practice civic engagement and leadership in action.
  • Reclaim their voices and develop the confidence to shape their future.

“We envision a generation grounded in cultural identity, driven by purpose, and equipped to lead lives of excellence and impact.”

Hear From Our Families

Real Stories from Our Community

The Quality Life of SWFL has been a huge part of not just my children’s lives but also my own. I have been associated with the Q for close to 30 years and even though I was a troubled teen, Mr. Muhammed, as well as the staff of the Q, never gave up on me. My children are a part of the Q family now and are growing tremendously! I am so grateful for the Q and their staff.

I had my son at the age of 17, I walked the stage and graduated with college credits. At first, I thought it was just somewhere safe I could send my son while I attend college classes and work but I later found out that it was so much more. The people at Quality Life Center have become a family.

I love the QLC because the staff members are so nice, and it is so fun here—especially in the summer.

QLC is important to me because we do a lot of fun things like parent’s night out.. After we are done with our schoolwork, we play and do what we want. If we are sad, they will help if we are sad.

The “Q” is important to me because the fun activities we do. The “Q” is also important to me because of the teacher’s kindness and patience with all of the students.
